Coping with Stress

With this on-going pandemic and work from home new norm, how can we learn to cope well and without stress?

Many of us (I am sure) will experience stress in one way or another. Stress from working from home, stress from family, from bosses, from customers, from peers and the list goes on.....

What exactly is stress?

Stress is a feeling of physical and emotional tension and it can come from any thought or event that makes you feel nervous, angry, despair or frustrated.

So is stress good or bad for us?

In short bursts, stress can be a positive sign such as when it helps you to avoid danger or meet a deadline. Having said that, when stress prolongs and lasts for a long time, it may harm your health and affects your overall well-being. In summary, stress is not necessarily a bad thing as it is crucial in helping us to be more productive, efficient and effective.

There is an article that I come across today that teaches us 4 ways to cope with stress which I thought it will be helpful for sharing.

1. Show yourself some TLC (Tender Loving Care)

2. Keep up with healthy habits

3. Positive thinking

4. The power of kindness
